ShopYourWay Surprise Points Can Mean Free Stuff

Are you a Shop Your Way member? SYW is a free loyalty rewards program for Sears and Kmart that allows you to get member-only pricing and rack up points for purchases you make that you can later use towards future purchases.

My favorite part of Shop Your Way is that I occasionally receive "Surprise Points" in my account. Sometimes it's $10 in points towards a $50 purchase, but in some cases it's straight cut free money. Today my email said "$15 towards a $15 purchase" with some exclusions. Woah - $15 for free!? I'm game.

I bought my husband two moisture wicking polos (retail for $38 each but on sale for $9.99) and paid $4.94 total (I had $.04 in points already from a previous purchase) and will pick up them up at my local store which is on my way to an appointment I have later today. That's less than $2.50 per shirt! That's a score in my book!

Still have questions about SYW? Check out the FAQ here to learn a bit more about the program. Although I can promise you won't regret signing up!

Word on the Street: K-Mart Double Coupon Event Back?

This is just a "heard it through the grapevine" notion at the moment, but word on the street is Kmart will be having a Double Coupon event coming up starting 8/30.

So be on the lookout for more information. I'll post it as I get it.

Typically during these events, your first 5 coupons valued up to $2 (that do not say "do not double") will double... This means a $2 coupon would be worth $4!! This is the ONLY store I know of to do this.

You can only double 5 coupons - so give your highest valued coupons first.

And your overall purchase must be $25 before using your coupons. So considering buying stuff you need anyway if your couponed order doesn't reach this minimum.
