Restaurant Week Providence 7/7 - 7/20 = Cheap Eats!

Most of the time when my husband and I go out to eat, we end up at a local place or one of those god-awful chain restaurants. We can't really afford much more except on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

This is why we welcome Restaurant Week (insert name of major city here) each year.

From July 7 through July 20th, Providence is hosting their semi-annual Restaurant Week. Restaurants across the state of Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts participate in one of two options: a 2-for-1 (buy 1 entree, get 1 free) or a 3-course prixe fixe lunch or dinner menu for $14.95 or $29.95 respectively.

Because of this great opportunity, we got to indulge ourselves at a restaurant we don't often get to visit: Capital Grille in Providence.

The Capital Grille boasts an atmosphere of power dining, relaxed elegance and style. Nationally acclaimed for dry-aging steaks on premises, The Capital Grille serves classic steakhouse offerings such as chops, large North Atlantic lobsters and fresh seafood.

They are located in the Union Station parking lot; your waiter can validate your parking pass and you won't have to pay for parking when you leave.

My husband and I both had the dry-aged sirloin steak. This is one of the few restaurants that cooks my steak EXACTLY how I order it. It melted in my mouth.

Here is the menu they are offering for Restaurant Week this year. You can make reservations on OpenTable. If you end up going to The Capital Grille, or any other participating restaurant, let me know what you thought!
