Free Home Energy Assessment - possibly free LED bulbs, showerheads and more!

If you live in Massachusetts and are a customer of Columbia Gas, Eversource or National Grid, you may be eligible for a free (virtual) home energy assessment! Typically these are done in person, but are temporarily conducted virtually due to the current pandemic.

My husband and I had a home energy assessment completed many years ago and, at the time, received CFL bulbs to replace all of our incandescent ones, as well as programmable thermostats to replace our non-programmable ones.

Requirements:
You need a smartphone capable of taking and sending pictures.
You'll need to take 15-20 pictures around your home and submit them before your appointment.
You need to be willing to install LED lightbulbs and power strips.
You should be comfortable filling out forms electronically.
You must be a customer of Columbia Gas, Eversource, or National Grid.
You must live in a building with 4 units or fewer.
You can only have an assessment once every three years.

If needed Mass Save will send you no-cost energy-saving LED lightbulbs, showerheads and power strips. Best of all, the cost of approved insulation and other weatherization will be 100% covered by Mass Save!
